OHC L1s 4-3 Teddington L1s

South Div 2

OHC ladies 1s made the trip to Teddington on Saturday and started the game strongly, dispossessing the opposition and winning a corner which Floor Timmer converted with 3 minutes on the clock.

Oxford added a second from a corner a few minutes later – Timmer again latching onto a ball from Meg Scott to make it 2-0. A third soon followed – Beth Williamson slotting the ball home from another corner. Teddington were still very much in the game though and added a comeback goal from a corner before half time.

The home side laid on the pressure in the second half, bringing the score back to 3-2 before Christy Barnard crossed for Timmer to complete her hat-trick with a deft touch over the keeper. Oxford then had to see out some nervy moments as Teddington pursued the win. They pulled back a goal from a PC to make it 4-3 with around 10 minutes to go. MOM Harriet Wilkinson proved resolute however and Oxford closed out the game in front to win 3 valuable points.
