OHC LADIES’ 6s REVIEW OF THE SEASON

Player of the season: Ann Carter

Most improved: Charlie Brock

The progress the Ladies’ 6s have made can be summed up by our last match of the season: our best match to date, it was ironically the re-match of the worst match – but there was a massive thirteen-goal difference between the two games (with our spies on the sidelines reporting that their coach was extremely complimentary about our playing!).

Captain Mel: talk of players being made to walk the plank has probably been overstated

The team made a shaky start, with at one point having a player’s mother don the goalie kit and play in goal (never having played hockey before!).

However, the former City & Rover and new players have come together to form one of the most sociable, albeit maybe not the most successful, teams and have enjoyed playing every match. Watch out division 5 – here we come!
