Sponsors

The scrim (windbreak) at Brookes was kindly provided by two of our sponsors and with support from Oxford Brookes Uni
Oxford Hockey Club would like to thank all our sponsors for their generous support. Sponsorship contributions enable us to develop as a club, by improving our training programmes at both junior and senior levels, and helping us to pay for club equipment.
If you’re interested in supporting hockey within the community in Oxford, please contact us – there are many different sponsorship opportunities available, at a range of different levels.
Our current sponsors are:
NWD Wealth Management
Nigel Wilson-Dykes explains his support for OHC:
“I’m delighted to be able to sponsor the Club in its very first year and am aware of all of the hard work that went in to achieve this result – I wish you every success for the future.
“I remember fondly my hockey playing days at school and county level but most of those games were on grass. With the introduction of artificial surfaces the speed and skill levels have changed beyond recognition, and I look forward to witnessing these at first hand at some of your matches.
“I now work in the financial world and am a Senior Partner within St. James’s Place Wealth Management. Please feel free to visit my website to view the services that I offer, which extend from Investments to Trust and Estate Planning. Good luck for the season!”
Breton Crepe Company run the sports cafe at Oxford Brookes, our home pitch and ‘clubhouse’. They provide us with hockey teas, and sell a great range of authentic French crepes (with many different sweet and savoury fillings and toppings), pizzas, baguette and ciabatta sandwiches, milk shakes, etc, to keep our supporters happy.
The company also has a cafe in Oxford’s Covered Market and a kiosk in Bonn Square, plus a crepe cart available for hire with staff.
HARIBO
HARIBO confectionery needs little introduction, certainly not to the ladies’ section of the club who decided a while back to replace orange quarters with bags of half-time Haribo!
A dynamic family-run company, HARIBO was founded in 1920 in Bonn, Germany, by Hans Riegel. Fruit gums, liquorice and foam-based sweets are the most important product sectors. Today, the HARIBO Group includes renowned brand names such as MAOAM.
Haribo were popular sponsors of the Haribo OHC Junior Festival in November, where their sweets went down very well with the youngsters!
Andy Roscoe – Acupuncture Therapy
With clinics situated in both Oxford and Thame offering a wide range of treatments for all ages – including acupuncture for chronic sports injuries – Andy is a useful guy to know!
Discounts are offered to Oxford Hockey Club members: find out more by calling him on 07932 011281 or checking out www.thametherapyclinic.co.uk.
Amit Lakhani – Web Developer
Amit has been a big help in setting up the Oxford H.C. website this season, providing us with ongoing technical support, free of charge. He’s worked as a web developer for over 3 years, and his experience ranges from simple CMS system brochure websites to bespoke real-time data systems.
Amit’s available to hire via the People per Hour website – so please get in touch if you need any help with a website or with search engine optimisation (he was great at very quickly moving the new OHC site from about page 8 of Google rankings to the top!). He’s also very good at communicating with non-technical people!
