Welcome to Oxford Hockey Club!

In the winter season Oxford Hockey Club has 7 ladies’ teams, 9 men’s sides, a mixed side and a large junior section, so we can offer friendly, competitive and/or sociable hockey, whatever your standard or previous playing experience. During the summer we also compete in the local summer leagues.

We are based at Oxford Brookes University sports centre, in Headington, and also play matches across the road at Headington Girls’ School and at the Oxford University pitch on Iffley Road.

Inspired by the Olympics? Do you want to take up hockey?

We run courses for men and women who want to take up hockey for the first time, or are looking to play the sport again after a break. These are 6-week courses – see here for more details http://www.oxfordhc.org/oxford-ladies-hockey/back-to-hockey/

If however you’ve played before we have regular training sessions to suit both outfield players and goalkeepers. New players are always welcome at any time during the year – you can contact us via the Join Us page.

In the winter season our hockey training is held on various nights from Mondays to Thursdays and you can find full details on the training page. We run specific hockey goalkeeper training every Wednesday.

The winter season starts in September with friendlies and then league games are most Saturdays from late September to March. Summer League runs midweek evenings from May to July in and around Oxford.
