At the U16 level on the boys' side, we introduce a new concept. We invite Wallingford Hockey Club to join us for combined training and match squads. This ensures that players from Oxford and Wallingford have access to high-quality hockey suitable for their stage of development.

Most of the boys are pushing through the adult system when in this age group. They learn a few dark arts as well as match management from the old heads and do all of the running for the old legs that hold up those old heads. Our men's 6s has a number of 13-year-olds with teammates up to 40 years older! The range is even more in lower teams. The rewards for the older players are just as great as for the youngsters.
