This age group is flourishing, winning the England Hockey U16 Championships twice in 3 years in 2024 and 2026. We can have two squads, playing competitive hockey in England Hockey Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the South Central Region, with our Tier 1 team pitched against some of the best teams in the country. Our focus for this team is playing the top tier hockey, so we tend to travel a bit further afield but the quality of hockey is great!

The 2nd squad usually comprise our younger players in this age group, with these girls playing at a great standard against the A Teams from other local clubs. The girls in this age group are also playing ladies hockey and training at least once a week with their senior teams. We have U16 players in every one of the 8 teams in the ladies section. This includes 2-3 players in each of the Ladies 1s - 3s teams.

We are very keen to see our players progress into the England Hockey Performance Pathway. This includes County Hockey and we contribute a significant number of players to the Oxfordshire squads. A good number of our girls are also in the Regional Talent Academy.

The squads are supported by a strong coaching group with significant coaching and playing experience at all levels of the game.
