This age group is flourishing, winning the England Hockey U16 Championships twice in 3 years in 2024 and 2026! We have two squads, playing competitive hockey in the England Hockey Super League (Tier 1) and in the South Central Region. Our Tier 1 team play some of the best teams in the country, so we tend to travel a bit further afield but the quality of hockey is great! The second squad also play at a great standard, usually against the A Teams from other local clubs.

A large number of the girls also play Senior Ladies hockey and train at least once a week with their senior teams. We have U16 players in every one of the teams in the ladies section. This includes at least 2-3 players in each of the Ladies performance teams.

We are very keen to see our players progress through the England Hockey Performance Pathway. This includes Talent Academy and County Hockey and we contribute a significant number of players to the Regional Talent Academy and Oxfordshire county squads. In recent years a small number of players have been selected for England Age Group trials with 1 player going onto represent England U16 girls.

The squads are supported by a strong coaching group with significant coaching experience in National League Hockey and the England Hockey Performance Pathway, plus playing experience and at all levels of the game.
